One more unusual and great game from Upper Story. Love it!
We got this as soon as we could and have been proceeding through the story, 1 bridge every few days. It's been a blast to play through and mechanism with the magnets is really smooth. We mistakenly went down a "hard" path the other day and got all but the last bridge to that special island, but boy was that one tricky. We left it out and tinkered for 3 days before going back to the main story. We're really looking forward to getting back to that one after having more experience with the other bridges. The boat restrictions are tricky and a nice addition to the puzzle, as are the need to have green supports for the car to pass through. Super impressed and looking forward to sharing with the larger family Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Haven't opened it yet, it's a Christmas gift for my Grandson. But the weight and appearance of the box is impressive! Looking forward to getting underway!
First, I love the banana for size comparison, but it just doesnt do it justice. This game is huge. Love this as an adult and cant wait to share with the kiddos when they visit.
Bridge or Bust is a hands-on engineering experience that is way more engaging than the popsicle stick/balsa bridge projects I remember. There’s tons of play value here and the feeling when your design finally works is genuinely rewarding. I was concerned about the price, but this is a massive box set with lots of value. What I love most is that when you test a bridge design there is no catastrophic collapse making you have to completely start the build over. You can easily identify the break points and add extra supports quickly. Its like a LEGO build where you can actually test structural integrity without pieces shattering everywhere.
